Gotta love Tischer

I know everyone already know how great they are both pricing and service. I just had to express it again. I sometimes call about parts at my local BMW just to see if its and stock and the pricing. Well they wanted pretty much double the price for the auto fold mirror switch. Plus it's not a stock item any way. Just had to voice my appreciation once again for a great sponsor.

I got my ZHP shift knob from Tischer. Tischer had it for almost half the price that I could find it anywhere else.

Yeah, I got from them my FCAB's, washer fluid pump and other minor stuff. I'm so glad that BMW dealer has separate internet dept. there.

I know they are Sponsors, but i think the truth should be told

Maybe my experiece was atypical but I specifically included directions to contact me about shipping costs before sending out/placing the order as i amm from hawaii so i wanted to know the shipping costs yet they ignored that and i got sacked with $50 shipping bill. Added to this I also asked about the 10% off coupon that was on there website which i also included in the comments section to contact me about prior to finalizing the order as well and they did but they only did after i had to email them and after they had already sent out the parts which they then told me the websites prices were low so the coupon the the website did not apply, huh????? I read all the details on the coupon which was on the front page of tischers WEBSITE and it never said anything about that so that cost me another $60 (My problem was not that the coupon was not valid but rather they still shipped the order without contacting me first as i would have chose a different alternative) . Added to that, some of the items included free shipping to the US (never mentioned only continental US but i asked about it in the comments section of oreder anyway yet was never contacted) and they billed me for the entire shipping weight regaurdless that some items were labled as free shipping (again, my only complaint is they did not contact me first as i asked in the comments section since this ran contrary to what was listed on the site)?????????????? Lastly, on their site it did not allow me to type in a different name for the shipping and billing address but i needed to have it sent to a friends condo since i was moving so i included a different name in the comments section to include on the shipping bill. This never happend and so it took an extra day to be delivered. On the other hand, the correct parts arrived and their site is easy to navigate. However, becasue they either did not read the comments section in which case they should remove it or they ignored my comments, I will likely not place my $2000 order with them in the comming weeks as my last order basically cost me an extra $100 from what i was expecting which was roughly 15-20% of the total bill.

Try IM'ing them first(screen names are on the site). I was suprised has fast they replied and their patience with my nutty questions was impressive. I have ordered 6 different times and have never been let down.

Even though i got shafted, i may have to change my review because from what ive been told, if i buy parts from tischer, install them my self and they go bad within two years, any bmw dealer in the country will replace the part and labor free of charge. Man that sentence was a run on but im not an english teacher so i dont care.

That sucks, but you have to admit, you had a pretty abnormal order.

IM is no way to communicate at least not professionally. Sometimes you need a telephone I don't understand why Tischer refuse to offer this service.

www.billjacobsautoparts.com is another BMW dealer using the same interface and offering the same prices and utilizing the same website interface (which is very poor by design). And they have a telephone number. They are in Chicago perhaps a little closer (faster and cheaper to ship) for those in the west. I haven't searched but I'll bet there are other bmw dealers offering the same prices.

www.pelicanparts.com is still my favorite I place orders on Monday morning and get the parts in Texas on Thursday. Sometimes their price is not the best and smoe bmw only items do not qualify for the free shipping but otherwise their website is great providing lots of info. Free shipping on order more than $75 but they clearly state only to lower 48 (sorry Hawaii)

If you go to a dealer, including Tischer, you'd better know exactly the part number you want.

Actually..........our communication via IM, email, and PM is more professional than a simple phone call in most cases. When's the last time you attached a diagram, hyperlink, set of installation instructions, picture, video, etc. etc. etc. to a phone call? Using this technology allows us to be more thorough, precise, and accurate when helping customers find parts, place orders, and resolve issues.

It also allows us to handle 100x the volume of orders/inquiries/etc. that we do over trying to run something like this with a phone #. Since we offer a wholesale business with deeply discounted parts, we rely on that volume to make-up the lost profits. A 30 minute phone call involving the customer trying to explain what they are looking for, us figuring it out, and then walking them through the simple online ordering process is something we will not do since it could be easily handled by Jason or myself by the electronic means of IM, email, or PM in about 30 seconds. We do this hundreds of times per day, and have zero problems maintaining a professional demeanor, or solving the situations that we encounter. If you don't like the way we run our business...no hard feelings.....it's just the way we roll....and will continue to roll. You can always phone those other dealerships that may have 1 or 2 online orders come through their system a week.

Yes, there are other BMW dealerships that have purchased the same software we use, however you'll be hard pressed to find one that offers the kind of service we do, has a completely separate and streamlined internet dept. to handle the online orders and inquiries, sponsors the various online communities and offers special promo's and giveaways, and can match our 'all in' price once you factor shipping charges.

Or you could shop our E46Fanatics section of our specials catalog......or simply ask Jason or myself for the part # (via IM, PM, or email of course.)
