getting ready to do my first oil change.

This is my first BMW, and my first oil change in my car.

What is a good quailty oil filter? (2004 330ci zhp) I don't need the cheapest, but I want a good quality filter and does anyone have a suggestion where to get the filter?

I looked at the autozone web site, but they want 19.99 for a K&N and I don't see a bosch option. (I have had good luck with bosch gear in the past)

Does anyone really go the 12000 mi change interval? My dash meter says 7800 miles till the next change, but I don't know for sure how long its been on this oil.

most people here change the oil at 7,500 miles. i think the interval set on the computer is 15,000 not 12,000

Hengst filters should be good. They are probably the biggest German filter maker there is. I think they are the OEM for other OEM's.
