New easter egg!!! Well, it took me 3 years to realize this hahaha i'm dumb

yep, i've had my car for almost 3 years and i JUST realized that the little hook and handle on your trunk floor is used to hook on to the rubber molding when you lift that piece up to get to the spare tire

never realized that

i'm such a sped

now..... who's gonna fess up and say they never put 2 and 2 together as well

I remember the first time I did this with some fanatics around and I heard all of them go "OHHHHHHHhhhh!!!"

Well I still haven't worked it out after 2 years. I can see the loop on the trunk floor board. Where is the hook ? Can you post a DIY with pictures ?

yeah great feature... be careful with the handle as mine just recently broke (albeit after 9 years, but you'd be amazed at the difference in trying to pull it up now that it broke)

Yeah, post a pic or there is no easter egg.

go out to your car
stand facing trunk centered on license plate
open trunk
look straight down into trunk
see loop/handle
pull up to expose spare tire
look up bottom of trunk floor that you lifted up and see hook
flip out hook
attach hook to weather stripping / rubber molding at top of trunk / bottom center of rear windshield

guys i hope you are joking about the pic LOL

open up your trunk and look down, you'll se that at the edge of the carpet (closest to you) you'll see a little metal bracket/hook that connects to the trunk floor that covers the spart tire

if you lift that up like you are getting the spare tire, that hook lines up perfectly to latch onto the rubber molding that seals your trunk (up near your rear windshield)

Well I don't see no damn hook. For the past 2 years I have been propping up the trunk floor using my head while trying to do stuff in the spare wheel well.

I just found out about this easter egg on saturday! I've also had my car for over 2 years.

that hook attaches to your rubber molding in the trunk right up near the rear winshield

if you look at the carpet for your trunk (in diagram) you'll see that little notch on the back side, that little notch is where the hook sticks out, and then you lift that little piece up it hooks right into your weather stripping

Ah, same thing, but I was looking it up on my car, so the one for the vert looks a little different, but yea, same thing.
