Craigslist Ad...not sure if this is a scam or not; HELP!

I'm selling a beautiful, well maintained Range Rover Supercharged because my platoon has been sent back to Afghanistan and don't want it get old in my backyard. The price is low because I need to sell it before October 12. Paint shines ,zero dings/dents,no accident. Non-smoker,always garaged and covered. It comes with all the documents needed for registration. The title is clear. Only 27,000 miles, perfect condition in and out.

I'm asking $XXXXXX this price includes door to door shipping, handling and insurance fees for shipping within the continental US. You will have 5 days for inspection and possibility for a refund policy. The vehicle is located in Mc Lean, VA.

I emailed this ad on craigslist, price was very enticing and i saw it in 3 different sections.

Guys...is this a scam or no? Looks extremely legit. She provided me a link with TONSSS of pictures infront of her house. (Very big cribs, def a wealthy neighborhood).

Never did the whole ebay thing, and the fact that I have this "refund" policy is really enticing. Car is EXACTLY what i'm looking for. Not white, but hell i'll deal with it lol.. I've been in the market for quite a bit and nothing comes close to it

just want to make sure if some of you guys have seen this, i know you're all up to par on your scam news...what should I do?

Should I e-mail her back telling her I'd like to go ahead with the transaction and do the whole ebay thing? I'll ask for VIN # and then the shipping company I guess...the price is INSANEE and i wanna take full advantage of this situation.

Her signature is also from the army, with what regiments she's in, and shes an LTC?

My hope for today is definitely to post the vehicle on eBay and email you the URL link to click "Buy it Now" option .

Right now I`m in a military base. we are getting ready for Afghanistan (I hope for the last time). I do a special training program each day and I am not allowed to get out of the unit or give calls whenever I want. We`ll have to stick to email for now as this is the only way I can communicate.

The title is clear. You will not be disappointed in the condition of this SUV. It drives fantastic .The SUV has been adult driven only and is in perfect cosmetic shape with not one single door ding, scratch, interior blemish, or issue of any kind. I am and have been the sole owner of the vehicle, it's clean with a perfect history; Runs, shifts, and drives like new, still is new ! Carfax history attached.

The transaction will be fully under eBay's surveillance, giving us both security and insurance that nothing will go wrong. They will be the 3rd, objective party involved in the transaction. This way you will actually pay for the vehicle after you will receive and test it, because eBay will hold the funds in an escrow account and release it to me only after you accept and confirm the delivery. After the vehicle reaches your address you will have 5 days to test it. Within this period you have to decide if you purchase it or not. If you decide to take it you will have to contact eBay and let them know that, so they can release the payment to me. If you won't like it you will have to ship it back to me within the 5 days and eBay will refund you. The shipping back will be done on my own expense, but I am sure this will not be the case.

i was already gonna call bs on the no phone call thing b/c some friends have called me from their bases anytime they nearly wanted to so thats why I got pissed.

Whoa whoa whoa! Hold on a second! People get scammed on the internet??? Are you guys sure we're talking about the same internet here?

People, the web is a community. People are supposed to be able to trust each other in communities.

Unless it's mostly like, Puerto Ricans or something.

A little common sense goes a long way, if it's too good to be true it usually is. Best way to catch them in their scam is say you're taking a trip there and want to see it in person. They'll stop answering you or make up some excuse why you cant.

I live near mclean, and for some reason I dont see the car listed on the local craigslist. If it were legit he would probably have it for sale locally...
