Why are innocent words censored *****? (ie: e46 car structure components)

Why oh why are words like "A - p-i-l-l-a-r" and "B - p-i-l-l-a-r" auto censored on this forum?

People use these words often in posts describing interior install steps, gauge mounting etc, and they are always ****ed out. Try as I might I can't find any form of curse word, foul language, usual suspect words contained within those.

I must be missing something here

Because apparently at one point E46Fanatics had troubles with spam advertising and one of the things constantly being spammed were various pills and dietary supplements and such. I think that's the reason Tim mentioned if I remember correctly.

You are correct. I censored "-pill" as it is used in so many spam links. I didn't think people hyphenated A pillar so I didn't foresee an issue. I've removed the censor now.
