Did Some Shopping Today..... At Chemical Guys!!!

So today I went with my MF Towel Hook-Up Guy (Phil@AutoDetailDepot) to go meet Paul, The owner of Chemical Guys. Phil@AutoDetailDepot really likes me alot and i buy all my CG stuff thought him and Phil though Paul@ChemicalGuys Might like me.

So me and Phil@AutoDetailDepot took a drive to CG headquarters. Phil@AutoDetailDepot introduced me to Paul@ChemicalGuys and we immediately hit it off. Paul@ChemicalGuys is a GREAT guy!!! He knows what he talking about and is very helpful. He runs a great business and you can tell is trying very hard to get the create the latest car detailing products. Paul, Phil, and I pretty much chatted around for a few hours and chilled at the shop. Paul showed me the new Box the CG wax is going to come in. The wax is going to be over a Grand and made to compete with other high end concours waxes like Swisswax. I can wait till it hits the market!!!

While i was there i grabbed alot of great product. Paul is even so nice as to hook me up with some New Products that dont even have names yet lol.

I tried some things out because i got antsy hehe

The new wax from CG is $1500 or $5000 with free refills. The quality of the box is incredible! It seems to be made out of titanium and comes with a wrench to open it!

Waste of money IMO. A perfect finish is achieved through proper polishing, a wax has very little to do with the final look, it's just a final touch to give some extra pop.

Agreed. All I use is poorboys and Dodo Juice wax....

90% of the paint's finish can be achieved through polishing, 10% (at most) is LSP

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of. I challenge anyone to be able to tell the difference if they're standing 3 feet away from the car. I'm not a granola tree hugger or anything but we have people without jobs, people starving, people who can't afford to heat their houses, and someone is gonna spend $5 Grand on some friggin car wax? That shines just like some $20 car wax? And that wears off in the rain and heat just like $20 car wax?

As the late great PT Barnum once said, there's a sucker born every minute.....hey I love CG towels but honestly anyone who spends that kind of cash on car wax is a fool and a half.

you all need to look at some of the Zymol waxs then if you want to see high price, and where there a alot of great waxs out there, not all wax is the same. I have been detailing for over ten years and tried alomost everything out there. Thats like saying my turbo honda is just as fast as a Porsche. Apples and orenges guys
