Out of nowhere steptronic wouldn't go into Drive?
Started up car shifted down to N then no go past that point,so went back to P then R then tried D again but tugged a little on shifter and it went in to Drive so 30 cars behind me were stoked!! Trans works great problem seems to be shifter linkage/button connector etc. Any ideas? And is shifter knob and boot easy to remove? It seems to me it,s binding up.Drove home from OC then parked and tried again and only to N with out wiggling and applying some force to get into D.Thanks much-Doug in So. Cal.

Somebody experienced this due to a coin falling into the shifter. Take the boot out of the way by squeezing inwards and pulling it up around the shifter knob.

mine doesnt even go into neutral it doesnt go lower than first which is kinda lame or mayb im just doing it wrong
