Question Dinan cold air intake/high flow air box + stage 2 Engine Software question

For those who installed Dinan cold air intake/high flow air box (mostly interested in the air box style), do you HAVE to install the stage 2 Engine Software? Thank you.

You would rather get AA Stage 1 Software (More Aggressive Tune and Cheaper). FTW! Unless, you still under warranty then that is a different Story.

Dinan FTW.

simple physics - your engine is a giant air pump. more air in (via intake) needs more fuel to combust. software updates the fuel and timing map to match the amount of air coming in. ideally, you should have an exhaust too, to balance the air coming in to air going out.

Dinan's software is designed specifically for your engine matched to that intake. if u want to experience the full benefit of an intake, i highly recommend software. i recommend Dinan because i've had very very good experience with them (I have the S package), and you asked lol. being worth $600, well... you'll get very polar opinions on this forum. people either love their Dinan goodies or flame anyone who mentions the word.

I really lost alot of respect for Dinan when I took a look at whats included and the installation:

Aside from that cheap turbulence-inducing plastic tube between the air box and brake duct, you get a new cover and a different filter. Worth $600? I wouldn't pay $100 for something I could do in a few hours time by myself, even if I had to use old pool filter parts and some duct tape I'd still be better off...
