Hello All ! new owner on board

Hey Crew

one of the members forwarded me the link to this forum and it seems to be the right place to be if you own a E46 Going through some of the threads i am glad to see some ex-s2ki/s2000 owners posting on here

I have owned 5 Honda's and most recently sold my beloved S2000 as it was time to move on ....

the wife and i just picked up our 2002 E46 325ci coupe and we are extremely happy with it. Picked it up for a decent price and it top condition, probably the best one available in NSW, as we saw so many poor examples while shopping for one. My plans for the car are to get some nice rims first up and lower it a touch . And i will add bits and pieces to it as i go

i miss the 2.0L high reving Vtec engine, nothing and i mean nothing beats reving the engine to 9,000 RPMS and popping 2nd ! The BMW is very different, smooth power delivery, loving the torque from the engine . So smooth to drive and it handles quite well , im suprised actuall . And its a novetly for me not to have the entire car rattling as my Honda's did.

We looked at about 8-10 cars for sale and it is heart breaking to see how some people treat their cars, the car we ended up buying was probably the only decent example on the market ! others had ripped seats, steering wheels had tears in them , how do you tear a leather steering wheel ?

missing service books etc, the list went on .

Thanks for the Welcome Taaxed !

thank you all for the warm welcome

just a question about servicing, i have been fortunate enough to have a very good Honda mechanic for over 10years, but i am totally new to BMW's , my car is due for a service in 5,600kms (current reading is 89,000kms) is this a minor or major service ? and can you guys recommend any workshops in the metro Sydney Area that can do a good service at a competative price ?

Welcome

How does she drive? Check the oil levels and colour.

The first thing i would do is get an oil filter and some good quality oil asap for peace of mind.

Then in 5,000ks you can carry out a basic inspection 1.

Enjoy and post more pics!

hey Wobbi, car drives and feels great ! its so refined compared to the S2000 . But they are totally different cars .
The car came with full BMW service history an is upto date.
Just wondering if you got any more pics of your car ? as i love the rims on it and looking at getting some rims this weekend .
