Loud Ticking Sound - Help please...

I own a 2000 BMW 323i with 113,000 miles, so here is my problem..,

Recently I had my uncle replace the coolant tank because the previous tank was damaged and was leaking (crack in the tank), once the new tank was installed the next day it started leaking again (Coolant light went ON). I thought no big deal and I filled the tank with coolant (Light went OFF) and started driving like this for about a week.

Now there's a new problem that I'm dealing with and cannot find out what it is. When the car is running it makes a very loud noise (sounded like a fan was hitting something plastic, but that wasn't it).

I took off Radiator, Fan, 2 Belts (Engine & A/C), Coolant Tank, and checked if the noise was gone but the problem wasn't fixed and still made a loud noise. So I turned the car off and checked the all the pulleys and it seemed they were working perfectly.

This all seemed to happen since the Tank was replaced... Thanks so much!

i think its something to do with the exhaust or air con maybe ?

mine makes a noise when started but then goes off and the previous owner told me its something to do with the exhaust and air gasses and the air con setting itself ??

Check Spark PLugs

Check your spark plugs. I had 1 loose plug that caused the car to tick. I tightened it up and noise went away.

Waterpump is about to go..impeller coming apart! might as well get one! My friends just did the same thing. Improper circulation of coolant also reason your expansion tank failed!

Waterpump and Alternator pulley aren't the problem I've checked. I have had 2 different mechanics come check out the car one said it was the starter, and the second says its the Flywheel bearing...
