Some parents...

...put their children through hell in order to live some vicarious dream through them.

"Among the many questions raised by photographs of child beauty pageant contestants, there is the question of how we are to view them. Are these images art or exploitation? Creep show or camp? The little faces spackled with makeup, the hair poufed and shellacked, the fake tans, fake teeth (called "flippers," they mask baby teeth), fake nails and, often, fake smiles -- all of it seems so jarring on toddlers and tweens. Looking at these pictures, shot by Los Angeles-based fashion photographer Susan Anderson and recently published in a book called "High Glitz: The Extravagant World of Child Beauty Pageants," you can't help feeling unsettled. The mind knows these are very young girls, and yet the eerie effect of all the cosmetics and correctives is to create the illusion of child-women far older than their actual years."

ahahhaha those kids look miserable. they will undoubtedly get picked on and have horrible childhoods. these parents who try to live vicariously through their kids by pushing them are clueless as to the harm they are causing. same goes for the uncle rico sports dads who think they are training the next lebron james.

i went to high school with miss america and she was a major stuck up ***** without any friends. and on top of it she wasn't hot or smart and had a mustache.

some parents are asking for their kids to grow up messed up in the head or even promoting dangerous situations a 6+ year old girl won't know how to handle...."gee, I thought giving head for a lollipop and a win was an ok thing....the win sure made my mommy happy".....lets breed shallow slores

Typically I think 90% of kids are normal and 105 are fvcked up. In these situations it is flipped flopped. I know prolly 4 women and now some children involved in this world. The only normal one was Miss teen Indiana, she is cool, and smoking hot and she swam in my pool last summer (thank you sunglasses). No pics sorry.

The other 3 have issues. Just weird, confidence issues. One of my wifes friends puts her daughter in these things it is crazy, they are broke but she pays 300 for dresses the is stoked when they win a 100 prize. She puts wigs on her 4 year old daughter and it creeps me out.
