What is the size of the oil filter O-ring ?

Hi guys,

I need to find a replacement of that tiny oring at the tip of the oil cap's rod. Anyone know the size of that oring? The original oring was missing and I can't really tell its thickness.

Is it one or two oring? I found this on realoem. It shows two orings.

Thank you for all responses.

There are two o-rings.

I just bought them from Pelican Parts after looking up the part numbers on realoem.com

11421744001 7.0 by 2.5 mm. You need two at approx. $1.00 US each.

That part number is for my car. Yours may be different. Ask your local BMW dealership.

Get the genuine BMW parts. It is your engine lubrication system. And the o-rings are cheap.

Thank you, Podman. It is sad to say (to myself) that here, where I live, BMW dealer is helpless. They want to sell me a whole new oil cap 11421715960. 11421716192 does not include those 2 o'rings.

I have 7mm by 2.5, 2, and 1. When I fitted the 2.5 and 2 to the rod they look alike.

Thanks again.
