Rear Right tire rubbing against the inner wheel well. Please help!
Hi e46 fanatics. I have on 225/55-16 95H tires on my 325Ci rear and the right rear is rubbing against the wheel well when i hit a bump. I can see markings on the tire. The rear left tire is ok but the rear right is rubbing. I've attached pictures to show this. What could be wrong?
Thank You |

arent those wheels from e60 (5 series) ?
Trapezoid styling - style 134
The offset on them (ET20) are not within range for e46. you will need to roll your guards. Typical e46 wheel is as follows; Style 44 has an offset of ET47 hope this helps Last edited by fgin; 11-13-2009 at 12:00 AM. |

Its your offset, you're using wheels that aren't spec'd for your vehicle.

Also if the wheels are not spec'd for my vehicle, how come only the rear right rubs against the wheel and not the rear left? They should be the same right?

My car is doing the exact same thing... but I was in an accident. The dealer checked out the entire car, replaced almost all of teh rear suspension... still rubs. Dealer can't find anything wrong withthe car and it alligns perfectly.
I'd love to know what you find out because it drives me insane. |

Do you have the original wheels on the car? Or do you have modified wheels? I would love to see pictures if you have some. Thanks!

I think that's it, Thanks dude! This helps a lot. It may be the offset on those wheels and the fact that the tires are wider. But only the right rear rubs. Thank You again! |
