Dash light problem (Cruise control light stuck on, OBC display not responding, etc)

Hi Guys,

I checked the fuses in the glovebox the other day to see if the ones that are for the headlights where OK as the drivers side headlight didnt work for ages, all fuses were fine and put them back in their place.

Now I did replace my resistors in my door airbags 2 days ago, as I have had the airbag light on for ages, but as my car went in for Inspection II I thought best swap them out for news ones if one might have failed this way they can clear the code and it should be fine. Only now the airbag light dissappeared by itself, which I find very strange. The thing is Im not sure if it dissappeared before or after I looked at the fuses as I havent really used the car since I swapped the resistors out.


Now onto the problem.

Have an issue with my dash lights, the cruise control button light comes on when you put the key into position 2 and it stays on and you cant turn it off no matter how long you hold the cruise control button.

Second part is, my lights work fine now, but as its intermittent I cant say if they are fine for good, so probably need to change the ballast. My high beams work, never had an issue with them, but the light in the center of the dash doesnt come on when you use the high beams or just flash them.

Last issue is that I cant use the OBC button to change from one thing to the other on the dash display, all it does is display time.

So I went to check all the fuses and all are fine, fuse number 9 is light related and also for cruise control, so thought it would come from there, but its fine even switched it out for a new one, and it still wont work.

Then decided to disconnect the battery for a 30 mins or so, problems still there, OBC stuck on the date, high beam dash light not working, cruise control dash light stuck on. Everything else seems to work, radio, nav, AC, lights, indicators, and no other warning lights on.

There is no electric current in key position 1, so I swapped out the ignition switch for a new one as the dealer said that would be the problem, but its still the same with the new part, no power in position 1 for the radio, etc. and in position 2 the issues described above are still there.

What to do? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Solved it was missing fuse number 10, didnt know it untill I compared it on another M3 (which has similar options to mine).
