Completely Lost - Any Help is appreciated.
Hey everyone,
I'm really lost as I feel there are so many options out there and I don't want to choose the wrong one. I ordered clear side markers from JleviSW for my 04 325i Sedan (facelift), and the driver's side one did not fit - it kept popping out. I figured it was because they were not OEM. Anyways, now I plan to order angel eyes. I love how the Orion v2's look (from Umnitza... I believe), but they apparently aren't OEM. It seems like they are also very difficult to install?? I was wondering if someone could point me towards some good angel eyes, I would prefer them to be 6000k. Also, if there is any extra information I may need when it comes to Angel eyes and their installation. EDIT: I also wanted to know about something I saw on a 5-series the other night. The guy left his car, but his angel eyes slowly faded out minutes after him leaving. I personally thought it looked really cool, so I'm curious as to how I can do that too. EDIT #2: I do not have the projector headlights... I have the regular stock ones... So, I would need the entire projector + orion v2 setup for the headlights (I think) My other question has to do with dropping my car. I'm not too familiar with how it works. I searched on here and people said things about getting coils...etc, but once again which ones do I get and will I be able to do it on my own? I really want to get these two mods done before the end of the year. Also, I would appreciate information more than links to sponsor websites, but if sponsors can provide information that works too ![]() Thanks to anyone that helps. ![]() Last edited by .symba; 11-22-2009 at 06:10 AM. |

For the clear corner problem, try loosening the headlight some and pulling it forward as you insert the clear corner. It might give you the extra room you need for it to fit.
The Orion v2s are fine, It's incredibly hard to find a bad review about them. There are a couple sites online that have installation instructions(http://www.fastm.com/m3/angeleyes_orionv2.html) Dropping the car would mean you would need new springs, or you could go a full coilover setup. H&R makes some great springs, but I'll let someone with more experience in suspension chime in.

Thanks for the link - very useful!! (bookmarked!)
EDIT: I do not have the projector headlights... I have the regular stock ones... So, I would need the entire projector + orion v2 setup for the headlights... My corners fit fine - it was the side markers that I had the issue with... the driver's side one kept popping out. I'll look into the H&R coilover setup while I wait for more responses. Thank you for your help! |

Oh my bad I misread that. I'm not sure about the sidemarkers, I think I'll be having a lot of trouble if I never need to take mine out. Maybe talk to the vendor?
And for the Orions, you'll be fine with the stock halogen lights. I have halogens on my car and the halos fit perfectly. And also the coilover setup is much more expensive than just getting new springs. Both can be used or lowering, but your your struts are in good condition, I believe H&R sport springs should suffice.(http://www.modbargains.com/product.a...Springs_E46_PR) But again, a free bump for someone more experienced with suspension Heres a link to the DIY for the springs if you were to go that route. http://www.e46fanatics.com/howto/how...hp?howto_id=12 you can be the judge if you are able to do it on your own.

Installing the Orion V2 is very very simple. There are so many DIY guides and people willing to help you that you'll be hard pressed to make mistakes with it. They are largely indestructible rings with solid non-failing clips. So you really can't mess it up if you tried.
