Old Pocket Watches
A while back I inherited a couple old pocket watches from my grandfather. At the time I didnt think much of it. Well recently I was cleaning out my room and I found them right where I left them a few years back.
Well I got a spare minute and started checking them out. A couple old Waltham pocket watches. There is a medium-large silver one I like and then a smaller gold one that doesnt seem to work, not really sure how to check. Well I figured I'd look them up, found the original sheets with the SN on them. Got a kick out of it. I had no idea how old these things were. That is, if I am reading these things right. lmao. Anyone know anything about these Waltham watches? Figured I'd ask since there are some watch geeks on here ![]() Silver one -- SN 21274

Your SN would indicate it was made in June 1859....3rd line down in the center column.

That's pretty cool to have a watch that old, especially a family watch. I have a grandfathers watch as well....I think it is out at my parents house though. I doubt it is that old though.

Holy **** I actually have a Silver Waltham.
Deafboy, where did you find the SN? There's numbers inside the back cover and more on the back of the watch |
