Up close I think the CCFLs look better, but the good LEDs can be brighter. LEDs have the advantage of being more robust and not having ballasts that can fail.

Another suggestion that can come in handy is hitting that Caps lock key before posting...

LEDs are the way to go, CCFLs are more affordable and not a bad choice but LEDs are brighter and more reliable. We have both options for you but if it's in your budget, I suggest LEDs.

High Count LED DDEs

CCFLs look much nicer (more even) but the constant replacement is annoying.

Any thread with the words "LED" and "CCFL" along with a question mark should be immediately flagged and deleted.

LED for BOTH looks and reliability.

i had ccfl's, had bad experience with them (pink eye). then i went with the 80 led one that jlevisw sell and they are amazing. much brighter. go LED if u want angel eyes.

LEDs are for BMW tails!
I imagine just as we hate seeing Halos on non-BMW car. I'm sure the Audi guys get a good laugh at LEDs for non-Audis.

Even when the first LED halos were on ebay many years ago and got laughed at on this forum..nothing has changed except the people now owning and those selling these for the E46. (sorry to those friends on here that will be offended)

The choice should be whichever one is less r1cer & boy racer for your prized BMW. You decide the lesser of two evils.

LED
With what it's been through, I'd imagine the ccfl would have killed itself.

Looks are similar, however if you want your AEs to constantly burn thru inverters and possible burn your car to the ground then go CCFL. If you want good looks without your car burning then LED is the way to go.

CCFL looks better, but only when it works. They seem to have a very high failure rate.

It's flashing because of the camera, relax. It's smooth as hell in person.

Yea, don't buy my ass. This is the best set of angel eyes out there. CCFL's catch fire and fail all the time. The mycarr led ones fail as well. these NEVER fail at all, are the brightest, period.
