Hey guys,

Lately I have been pondering the idea of selling the baby. Im posting on here to gauge some interest.

All work done at nixon auto in bby.
originally a california car. It was imported about 5 years ago now. Never seen winter snow or salt. I have always garaged the car in winter.

175,xxxkm
Carbon Black on cinnamon
6 speed manual
orion v2 angel eyes
blacked out grills and gills
smoked corners
tinted windows
eagle eye half smoked tail lights
19" factory rims 9.5/10 condition
megan racing exhaust

inspection two done 4,000km ago. Just recently replaced all the belts pulleys and tensioners and the CPV. Oil always changed on time. maintenance has ever been ignored. I have receipts for everything. Nixon can vouch this is a clean car. The only thing wrong with this car is there are two slight cracks in the subframe that were noticed while doing the inspection 2. I have been quoted by SS in burnaby for 1200 plus the tms kit. so all in about 1500$ I have deducted that from my price.

Not sure if I have forgotten anything but please feel free to contact me with any questions. Looking for $18,000 OBO

Thank you.

There is no way you'll get $18k, the car has too many negatives to the average buyer:
- US car, they always go for less
- 2001 is pre rod bearing. Regardless of the recall, anything pre 2003 takes a price hit cause the average buyer is scared off.
- High mileage. While not high for 2001, it's still a lot of miles.
- deduct way more than $1500 if you don't fix the subframe. No-one wants a damaged car and will want a huge discount to take the risk fixing it.

I'd say $13k tops if you don't fix the subframe, and it'll take a long time to sell. You might get lucky if someone really wants the colour combo.

I can appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

I do how ever think I can get more than 13k for it. Realistically I think it's worth more than your projected value. From some of the cars on craigslist mine is far superior. The maintenance is perfect on it. Besides the subframe of course. Being a California car it had never seen salt or snow. The color combination and 6 speed is saught after. Realistically it's worth what someone will pay for it. I believe I should be able to pull 16,000$ out. If not I have no problem keeping it.

Thanks Taylor.

Saw the car in person, and looked great.

If you are serious of selling it, the first thing you should do is get the subframe fixed with before/after pictures.
Without that be repaired properly, you will have really tough time selling it, even at VERY aggressive price.

Personally, I wouldn't touch 01 6spd m3 imported from US with subframe damage, doesn't matter how good it's running now.

x2

Get the subframe fixed with pics and all. You should be able to raise your asking price almost the cost of the repair but whoever's buying it will be a lot happier and more comfortable. You know that your car is good, but a potential buyer is always taking a risk so you gotta do what you can to make it easier.

The best solution is keep er' and let's get an ///M meet going!
