Does anybody have any tips on how to shoot cars with angel eyes? whenever I try to focus the camera, the angel eyes over power everything and the car goes black.

And you might want to layer mask a few different exposures together in post. Getting the angel eyes perfect will most likely make the rest of the car underexposed and exposing the car right will make the angel eyes overexposed.

Using a tripod and stitching the different exposures together help to ensure that all parts in the final picture are properly exposed.

I'm going to try some night/dusk photography with light painting at some point (I'm waiting for my softbox to arrive to try that out too).

But I really struggle with the daylight photos. They never seem to come out the way I want them to (maybe I'm just too picky)
