How many members are using Rotella T6?

(Please, please do not answer if you're not using or have not used Rotella T6 or another diesel marketed oil. I'm not asking a general oil question.)

I have a friend who seems genuinely afraid to use any "diesel oil" in his car, and I'm trying to get rid of his irrational fear of "diesel oil." I, personally, have used T6 for years. Probably 150k miles out of my SAAB's 300k miles were driven with T6, and I've used it in a bunch of other cars. It's in the E46 right now.

Just looking for general responses from people who are using it, or who have used it in the past.

(If you're using or have used Mobil Delvac 1 or Turbo Diesel Truck or any of the other good synthetic "diesel oils," I would love your responses as well.)

Started using it during my last oil change. Have gone 5K+ miles with no issues and next change is due soon so I plan to continue using it.

Been using Rotella in my gas engine vehicles for 7 years with nothing but great results. Currently using T6 5-30w in the M52 328i. Smooth cold start and a quiet, clean engine.

I tried the standard 15-40w, but was sluggish on cold starts. I use to run this in my Miata's, and old V8 engines. Helped clean buildup inside the engines, and quite lifters.

I used it in my 1982 Yamaha Virago XV920J - but that was because it had a wet clutch and an oil with no cleansing additives was the right choice.

I've heard of people using it in motorcycles, but I thought diesel oil was highly detergent.

Maybe it was something else that Rotella did not have that was recommended for motorcycles.

I've used it for 8,000 miles on my 2003 330ci to deal with 1l/1k mi burn. I also did o2pilot mod, so I am not sure which is working, but I am at around 3k per 1l now.

Yeah, the 5W40 is easy to find - the 5W30 is really hard to find, but it does exist!

I used it in my e46 for a couple of years and then switch to Valvoline Synthetic Maxlife.I have all new gaskets so I thought keeping them conditioned would not hurt.

I used it in my 5mt e53 x5 until this year. Switched to Maxlife Synthetic as well. It really cleaned that engine out. It is a great oil, and if they had it with some seal conditioners (not swellers) I would only use that only.

I have 5w40 t6 in my 325xi right now with no issues. I used to use it in an 01Saab 9-5 I had and that thing hit right about 220k before I parked it. Parked it for reasons unrelated to the how the engine ran, it'll still start up ahs run like a dream today.

I use Rotello T6 most of the time in my M52TU 328i, but just changed to Castrol Edge 0W-40 Euro blend last week when Advance Auto had it on sale for $33 for a six pack of quarts.
