My Ride: E46 330xd 150kw MT
Hi, i have e46 330xd m57n manual 2004. My car was remaped - 1,8bar about ~270HP. But i have problem with stock clutch, especially in 4,5 and 6 gears. Is e60 530d 218HP clutch perfectly fits to e46 3.0d 204hp?

Hi,

Can you confirm the Complete E60 Clutch Kit fits the standard E46 flywheel for 6 speed/204ps?

What about flywheel - does it fit?

Thanks.

Hi from Spain, I have a 330CD 2005 with 300.000km (240.000 miles), and today I have remap. My clutch is the original, and going from 550Nm starts to skid. I need know if the clutch kit of E60 530d 218 (ref. 21207542523) is 100% plug&play with the clutch kit of 330CD 204 (ref. 21207542521) maintaining the flywheel E46.

I have Downpipe 2.5", EGR off, and I going buy a better intercooler. My goal is to reach 600Nm and 290-300hp.

Grateful that _tomp_, Valeri Yordanov, slam46, CTID1987 or savdragos confirm that please. Thank you ver much.

A BMW mechanic told me that it is plug&play. He also told me that I recommend mounting the flywheel of the 530d 218cv (until september 2004) because the flywheel of e46 is not designed to gain 600-650Nm.

I bought the kit clutch Sachs (clutch plate + pressure plate + collar). In two weeks I will write if there is a problem in the assembly.

HI Guys

I'm running 270hp with 600Nm on my 204 6 speed and my OE clutch is now starting to slip.
Currently looking at these options:
1. OEM clutch and cvd delete
2. Aftermarket/ebay stage 2 clutch and cdv delete
3. e60 530d 218sp clutch and cdv delete (not sure is it's a straight fit)
4. e90 330d 245hp clutch and cdv delete (not sure is it's a straight fit)

Has anyone got any info/experience with any of those option?

Thanks

e90 it's not 100% plug&play.

This Monday I leave my car in the mechanic to change the clutch, I bought the clutch 530D 218ps Sachs (the same as Luk).

I will write my impressions the next week.

E90 Clutch and Flywheel will NOT work with E46 6 speed.

Only upgrade that works is the E60 218ps clutch kit (LUK part number - 624 3345 00)

E90 flywheel will bolt on, but will not work - it has too many teeth for the starter ring. You have to use e46 flywheel only (LUK part number - 415 0359 10)

So quite simple -

E60 218ps clutch - (LUK part number - 624 3345 00)
E46 standard flywheel - (LUK part number - 415 0359 10)

Thanks @ ctid1987

@sergio92
I think the e60 flywheel may be different in the same way e90 one is...

Because it has the wrong number of teeth on the starter ring.

e46 - 21207533924 - roughly 113 teeth ring
e60 - 21207533869 - roughly 122 teeth ring

Probably you can use single mas 240mm M5x, M4x series engines as well M57 series
With clutch from M57, M52 240mm, M54 240mm,..
Aprox. Weight 6 kg
Cost in our area around of 200 eur.

OMG, I did not notice that.

This is the clutch that I am going to mount tomorrow (530D 218ps 2003-2004):

Is these parts good for build stronger clutch for E46 M57n car? There is also Sachs made clutch and flywheel, what are those quality vs LUK?

My clutch E60 218ps works perfect in my 330CD.

I have 600Nm of torque and 275ps.

Only problem is the vibrations in five and six gear with 100% of aceleration.

The next week i am going to change the center mount of transmisión.

All silentblocks are new.

Flywheel E60 is NOT compatible with E46.

Chutch LUK and SACHS its the SAME!
