Sold the Fern green 160,000 mile 99' 328i SE auto saloon due to not passing the London ULEZ emissions standard (grrr) and bought this lovely Topaz Blue 80,000 mile '02 330i auto M Sport Touring.

APOLOGIES ABOUT THE SIZE OF THE PICTURE - PHOTOBUCKET!

Someone had removed the MV1 alloys and fitted a set of MV2 alloys crudely painted anthracite. I discovered they were all bent (one very badly) so bought a set of 18" style 32 and had them refurbished.......also discovered they are several kilos lighter! Already done Vanos seals (big improvement) and valve cover gasket, CCV and associated pipes, PAS pipes, Lower arms, drop links and control bushes, numerous oil a filter changes over last 4K due to car only doing an average of 1,500 miles a year for past five years with infrequent changes......underside of valve cover was manky! Injectors cleaned and flow balanced (made huge improvement), fuel filter, water pump, thermostat, viscous fan clutch, coolant change, software update to engine and gearbox (nice!), brake fluid change....twice due to being chocolate brown! Also transmission fluid and filter change. Had an Autoleads shark fin DAB antenna painted and fitted through the roof (horrible drilling into the roof.....just feels wrong!), fitted new front and repeater yellow indicators.
Drives really well now - only issue is a weak exhaust valve actuator that causes the valve to rattle at cold start......too expensive to fix unless I cut the actuator off and weld on a known good replacement.

Not by coincidence! I first saw the 162s on his car and I recently moved to the south where the roads aren't full of potholes so having 18" wheels is reasonable. Wish mine was Oxford green though. Black was at the lower end of my color preferences, especially metallic black, but this car was a 5 speed with all the options that I wanted so I made the sacrifice.

That is a great price. I picked up my mtech 1 for $65 from a pick & pull in rhode island (where they haven’t banned them yet.) Really lucked out there, it was off. 330xi sport that had been completely picked apart except for the front bumper for whatever reason.

Are you doing full tech 2 with the skirts and rear bumper?
