I have limited auto-x experience and it's been a while since I did it, but...
Don't they divide cars up into classes from stock to modified, so to be competitive, wouldn't you want to get good in stock class before competing in the modified groups?
For new auto-x'ers: its very humbling. I 'thought' I could drive pretty good, but the time slips don't lie, lol, I sucked. But I knew I was in trouble when I started seeing the front wheel drive cars lifting thier rear tires a solid 8" off the ground in tight corners. Racing isn't for the timid. :tsk:
