Anyone currently running D2 coilovers? Recommendations?

Thinking about going the adjustable coilover route on my '02 330i. I have ran several other coilover sets in the past on other vehicles from Tokico Illumina-R and Type D coilovers to D2's, ZEAL and a set of awesome Skunk2 Pro-SII I had on a civic a few years back.

From my recollection, the Tokico kits were fantastic but the springs were a bit on the mushy side, though they did give a comfortable ride. I really fell in love with the Skunk2 kit as it had some nice adjustment features and was fairly stiff, yet still compliant. SKunk2 doesn't make coilovers for BMW so....yeah.

I did enjoy the D2's I had but I wanted to see if anyone is still using them and how they fare on the E46, as I'm considering another set.

My car just sees street use as it's just a DD. The OE stuff is just getting to the point of being a little on the soft side and I'm sure I have a spring that has gone soft and acts a little funny.

So, any $.02 out there? Or have another kit I should take a look at? I have a price range of $1-1500 or so for a decent setup.

I tend to enjoy a stiffer ride, and my car will never see a track. Just looking for some excitement on the one curve between home and work ha ha.
