Nice work getting it back on the road and looking unique.
Im going to say do the wheels orange or green/yellow blaze dip temporarily. Just for fun.

Not a fan of plasti-dip, but I must say that your car looks pretty damn good! That color just works with the car, much better than black IMHO.

Yea, it turned out pretty decent. The dip is temporary. I just wanted it one color. This is the 4th car I have dipped. its actually pretty easy. No its not a professional paint job. Just something temporary to get by. Lol

It has dipped down in the 20°s here in wky last couple of weeks and now, car has puffs of blue smoke on startup. I imagine the ccv is shot. When I got the car the (ccv) return hose was broke, so the dipstick tube is probably clogged. Car just never smoked till I fixed it. It has 169k. I've been around this car sine 62k and ccv never changed. So before I drive it much more it will get a new dipstick tube and a ccv system with hoses. I'll give this car the TLC my mother couldn't afford when she owned it.

Parts arrived today. Woke up 430ish, started putting parts on at 5. Had it all back together by 745. I was kinda proud. It's alot easier putting the ccv hoses on, then taking them off. Only issue I ran across is the dipstick didn't come with a o-ring. I dug thru ones I have and found one. Started bleeding the cooling system. Still have air in it. I don't have any heat yet. Ran out of time and had to go to work.(I work midnights). I'll get it all done when i get off tomorrow.

Car is back together, running and driving great. I did buy the license plate delete trim and a auxi input cord for the radio. Now I can jam to Pandora. Much excitement.

Wow the damage my car had before I restored it looked almost identical as far as the bumper covers look. Does the front one line up nicely after replacing the impact struts? Here is my car before I began restoration.

I had slight left frame horn crumpling. After I replaced the impact struts and a few wacks with a mini sledge. Bumper lines up well. The problem I had was the lower headlight bucket bracket. When it was bolted in factory spot headlight was WAY off. So I had to modify the lower bracket bolt holes to make the bucket fit.

Work has been insanely busy, and lots of other projects have taken place in the shop. So the sedan hasn't got much attention. However since it is now daylight when I get off work, had to take a pic with another fellow night shift e46 owner at work.

Thanks man. It's been an experience. Car is far from finished. But is any project car ever finished?

Car has been doing good, other than my right rear wheel bearing is roaring pretty loud now after my Nashville adventure. She got driven real hard on the way to Cars and Coffee in Nashville. After that I participated in a poker run set up by Das German and TennesseeE30 clubs. It was a blast. Did watch a very mint e30vert wipe out. Enjoy some pictures.

The car that wiped.

Came across some e60 wheels the other day. So I scooped them up super cheap. Tires(and are shot) are way to big to fit, but wanted to test fit the wheels.

Front doesn't fit well with 245/40

Rear fits better, still going smaller tire. (This is a 275/35)

My uncle picked up a e46 also recently. It's needs alot of work. He stopped by we done a little wrenching on it.

Been a while since been on here. Car is running good. Oil filter housing o-ring gasket has let go and leaking a fair bit of oil. Going to change it out next oil change. Auto x season is upon us. And been driving the s*"' out of the car. Enjoy some pictures of the e46 and other randomness since my absence on here.

First auto x of the season may 1st.

Haven't been on here in a while. Been working on the girlfriends car and got it up and going. If you have ever had the experience of messing with a rotary powered car, you should. They are not as complicated as people think. Very interesting to work on and mess with. On to BMW business, the green turd is still running strong. Runs way better after the ecu reflash. Have had a few autox's since last time I was here so let's get to the pictures shall we.

This was from last Sunday 10-23-16 Girlfriend got me some snazzy number magnets with the M/// colors

The H&R cup kit with touring springs handles awesome, but in pictures this thing has hella body roll still. Sway bars in on the shopping list come tax time.

Group 1 lined up ready to go, and yes that's a 2016 Shelby gt350. That man never misses a track day. Bought it new 3 days before first autox this year. He drives it like it's meant to be driven and is tracked all the time.

Part of the group. The gray trans am I helped build from ground up. It's my good friend Caleb's. It's got a texas speed lsx 408 stroker putting a 590hp and 600+tq to the ground. It's a beast. Came within .305 of beating him on the course.

The girl friend wanted to snap some pictures after the autox with our cars. Here's hers and his.
