Bleh, don't know what the obsession with Hamiltons is. They release a special edition every 16 minutes, reliability is not even on par with the likes of Seiko or Oris autos, resale is meh as well.....seems like a rappers delight to me, I personally wouldn't spend that money on them, but that's just my .02. If that's the style you like, I'd most definitely go Breitling.

I've been wanting to get a solid blue face watch (my deepsea is only half blue and requires bright light to actually see the blue) and this right here is the sex...

Looking forward to checking it out in person when they go on sale.

Also, I've never been huge on the super oceans, but the latest ones (Heritage IIs) are absolutely stunning....the chocolate brown is

Breitlings are 4x-7x the price of a Hamilton. Hamilton is Swatches $1k or so market holder.

Right. I think they're nice for the 500-1k range. I don't think I'd spend 2k on a ham.

I still dig my Hamilton. It's been almost 6 years now, no issues with it. It was $800, though. For $2k, though, there are many other pieces I'd go for.

Sorry guys, I've had a long ass day and was/am tired as sh!t, I didn't mean to knock Hamiltons, I meant to knock Hublot, but confused the two for some reason. Hamiltons are actually pretty nice for the money.

I stoped using wonders. You need to have your watch serviced more often.

lol
i was about to say... how can you knock Hamilton?
it may be the only brand that doesn't get knocked around by most people
because it's pretty solid for the price range

although i regret buying my hamilton only because i hardly ever wear it

hamilton khaki field with the rubber strap
automatic
44mm but it doesn't wear like it's that big even on my skinny wrist

i bought it as a "beater" watch ... but $500 watch is too expensive to be a beater for me
plus i thought the watched was waterproof and i wore it while surfing a bunch of time... only to find out that it wasn't waterproof and i needed to get it serviced
thankfully warranty took care of it
so i can vouch for Hamilton's warranty being top notch

So, left my Hamilton in the cheapo winder for one week. Set on 2 minutes rotate, 25 minutes off, 2 minutes counterrotate. It lost 5 hours.

When I wear it everyday for a week, it doesn't lose a minute.

Thoughts? Problem with the setting?

Yup
$15k total
Considering the fact that I can't even get on a waitlist at any AD ... it isn't a terrible price

Does one pay cash for a 15k watch, or finance it?

I hear you, I just think it's ridiculous with the way Rolex manipulates the rarity of this watch. 8-10k is what it should be.
