E36 seat wiring help

What are these wires for? The cut wires are from the old seat.

Thanks Richie
I do have a colt meter but trying to not power up the car so I don't get the airbag light. I'm putting e46 manual seats in the e36 that had manual seats originally. I'm trying to figure out what these 4 wires do. The yellow harness plug from the e46 seats I will add a picture of also. Thanks again.

So the e36 side of the harness I believe the twisted yellow pair is for pyrotechnics same as the e46 side? They get connected I assume. The thick red yellow and red pairs on the e36 side are heated seat feeds one pair for upper and one pair for lower seat cushions I would connect those to the thick brown and thick violet and green on the e46 harness? I'm then left with the small black connection of red, black, grey, brown on the e36 side going to ???? On the e46 side I have the blue/white and violet/blue left to hook up on the e46 side. Also the green/white single wire on the e46 side that seems to be with the power ground for heated seat supply? Thanks to all for any help.

So I finally figured it out. This was a horrible mess to figure out but the end result is worth it.
