Oh, right, I missed that, the 85mm is for the regular TS2, the TS2+ is supposed to have the 83mm (used to ship with the 81mm).

I know for a fact I hqve 85mm pulley, its stamped right on. I should've got the ts2+ kit, I've done a lot to this engine and its running strong, cool, and leak free (for Now) im going to hook up a boost gauge soon to see what boost I'm running. Just waiting to hear back from AJ. To much shady things going on, I'm not liking it. Any of you guys go and takr the tune further? Got more performance out of a custome dyno tune? Or was the map supplied optimal? I want to toy around with some more boost, and 75mm should peak at 12psi?

I ran with a 78mm pulley for some time. Not too sure if you are going to need to change injectors to run a 75mm pulley though.

My last setup was with lower compression, 42lb injectors, and 65mm pulley on 98 octane.

The ESS file is ms430056, so there are xdf's for tuning.

If I had have stayed with the standard ESS setup and MS43, I would have converted to a HPX maf and further custom tuned.

Edit: Would also recommend you don't play with pulley swaps without a good Wideband and logging capabilities.

42lb injectors arent hard to come by. Green top bosch right? I dont, I'm lying, want to crack into the engine and start swapping internals just yet. I need to learn how to handle the car before I just start pulling boat loads of torque. I think thatll be a good place for me to start. 78mm, then I can swap to the 75mm and see how that works on a dyno. You're the man.

Good news, ESS remedied the goof up and are sending out a pulley asap. They've been pretty good thus far. Hey davew, did you say you ran 78mm pulley on stock tune? Im going to shy away from trial and error for now until I get the car more finished. Random things like boost and afr need to be installed. I want to learn how to adjust launch control parameters and such first, tune the driver.

I did run a 78mm pulley with the ESS TS2+ tune. ESS do not recommend this by the way. I went from what was at the time standard 81mm TS2+ pulley to 78mm.

Did you see or notice any adaptation issues? This may be a good option to safely go from daily driver to track days as long as the fuel and trim is consistent. I dont know too many people with e46, unfortunately, but I would imagine these engines can handle a good amount of boost safely, the dme is sophisticated enough for the user to adjust parametets to pull even more. Alum block being the weak link.

I did full logs and sent them also to ESS as a sanity check, all was good. This has a lot to do with how ESS set up their tune file. Their only advice was that if I did any more upgrades, I would need bigger injectors as I had them very close to their limit.
