Thanks Dave,

i already got that sorted

Plenty of space as i forgot i donŽt even have gaskets between the head and the flanges. That should add another 2-3mm and i found a brave person which did some measurements for me.

So i will weld it tomorrow and having a bit of clean up.

I'm kinda excited to see this happen, it seems like the n55 guys are getting a max of about 400whp and 470wtq. should be a fun little car.

Hopefully

IŽm going to dive this into a E46 compact, which will be pretty light compared to my convertible. I hope it will be ~1250kg

Alright, finished the welding and took a look if the flanges are warped, no warp

IŽll start a little bit of porting this weekend

(edit) The intake ports definately need some proper welding to perform like i want Not the best designing nor casting

Good stuff

Do you plan on using stock head gasket / bolts or have you got something else in mind?

IŽm not going high boost, nor high torque, for an easy test iŽll stick with the complete oem engine. Once the ecu is set up correctly and i have a baseline, iŽll probably change the head and maybe the gasket/bolts. WeŽll see

manifold is matched very nice to flanges, i like idea, i would try it on some of my project cars to see how it performs for drifting. but unfortunately there is no N55 stuff available locally.
ive read that N55 Borg and evo 16g has same power level potential and they both perform same way so if its correct then u and Davew should see very nice spool and power figures at the end even on very low boost.

as for Injectors Davew told me that u were looking for injectors.
what i would suggest to go for is Siemens injectors from Volvo, they are very cheap on ebay and flow 43lb. also they perfectly match M52TU / M54 intake manifold and they are High resistance

Part number: 6900371

for 400hp power level u will not need to change fuel pump. stock is fine, i have used OEM pumps up to 390whp many times.

Evoiii 16g are good for ~350 or so and quick spool up on a 4cyl, for 400hp you'd probably want a 20g or bigger mitsu turbo. (I have a turbo ed mitsu motor with 16g in my mitsu pickup)

Currently not. The charger is finished, the first set of intake and exhaust ports are machined and now its waiting time to find a crashed car to throw that stuff into.

In the meantime iŽm working on the software, which isnŽt that attractive i think.

Not much, the modified N55 charger was placed to much to the front so i would have had to remove the ac compressor, which is an absolute no-go. I cut the manifold and also cut the input flange from the turbo. They came on different cars with a screw mounted, but i can't afford a new charger at the moment. So i designed some input flange Adapter to be welded onto the charger and connect them to some cut stock exhaust manifolds. So from top it will look like stock exhaust.

We are currently testing MAP sensor replacement, so i can remove the MAF. Idlespeedactuator is already removed and i put the blowoff valve in it's place. I have a set if high flow injectors waiting to be changed.
I also got a M56 valve cover, should help with ccv delete. I need a new ac condenser to match it with the 330d intercooler. Biggest hurdle will be the adapter from turbo outlet to under-car cats, thats giving me massive headache.
