Any growers in here?

Anybody grow their own "medicine" (I love that term) ?

I'm considering starting a very small operation and wanted to see if anybody else is growing.

I'm talking like 3-4 plants, indoor enclosure. Living in the city, space is pretty tight and I have two small kids that Im a little worried would be too curious about any of the equipment.

More for fun really as I don't have the time to blaze like I used to.

Seems like a cool hobby more than anything.

I'm sensing some understandable apprehension about discussing this from those of you living in districts where your local authorities still see it fit to use significant government recourses to go after individuals for growing a plant in their own homes.

I should have directed the question to those members living in states with more evolved views on such matters. Sorry...

Why not grow something you could actually enjoy since you don't have the time now

I'm growing hops. The cones kind of look like buds.

I currently do grow seasonal veggies, which I do enjoy and actually got me thinking about growing meds- which seems to be far more involved than growing some tomatoes and eggplants.

Not to say that I wouldn't keep myself and my hommies flush with whatever is harvested. But, I think he primary purpose would be for the hobby of it.

At that point, why not grow opium poppies?

Let me get this straight: you want to grow WEED in a small place in the CITY? Your place would stink something awful, no?

Shortly after CO made it legal to gro 6 plants in your home, I made a grow cabinet and did a dozen or so grows with it. The cost of marijuana is so cheap now tho, I just buy it from my friends who went baller on their grows.

So, I have a cabinet with all the lights, fans, exhaust and cooling systems, locks, pumps, etc... if you want a turn-key system. I'll sell it for a pretty good price if you come get it out of my basement.

I'm also curious about this topic. We started with raised bed veggie gardening 2 years ago and are now working a .1 acre community plot with about 65 tomatoes, several watermelons, beans, cucumbers, and various other produce. We are organic growers, so the pests have really been a problem on the larger scale operation.

Our new house has 3rd floor that would be perfect for a small hydro operation, but I'm unsure of the level of involvement required with growing inside. I've read that you can pollinate with a oscillating fan, but I'm curious about the startup and maintenance costs.

We would primarily grow veggies, but it would be fun to try and grow some pot as well.

This is pretty much what I'm talking about right here. I think it may be a little hard to ship that bad boy across country, but thanks.

So out of that small hydro set up, looks like you were able to get 3 plants going at once.

Is the net set up (sorry forgot the name of that thing) to keep the plants from growing too tall?

How noisy was the hydro system? Were you happy with the yields?
Thanks!
