My Ride: BMW 323i (E46)
@M3_Power_Hustle : The car revs normal the engine is working fine i always change my oil on time always make sure theirs oil in it the problem is the tranny im about 99% sure. One of the main reasons is because i had the transmission light on for about a week or so but i didn't know it what the trans light(It would come and go so i thought it was a sensor or something but you live and learn) the car just felt slippy i believe its low on trans fluid or tranny gone bad (I pray to GOD not). Also i believe the brown fluid has to be old PS fluid since it only leaks brown fluid when i add PS fluid to reservoir(like if the new one goes in and it leaks old one idk kind of weird ). I really doubt the tranny is bad because as soon as i felt it slipping i parked it and got a ride home. It slipped twice and was going slow as in it didn't want to go in gear and i stopped right their cause i know it can get damaged if i drove it. And yes the engine sounds great it revs great im pretty sure its tranny. I believe its that metal gasket from the tranny pan(Thats why im buying the filter kit) because i was reading threads where they showed common leaks and what to look for and when i looked at my tranny the pan was wet with pink fluid idk if its the PS fluid i was adding that leaked and got their or some how the trannies fluid is still pink? After 150k + miles.
