Trim Wrap Question

I'm going to be wrapping my interior trim in the next week or two. I'm deciding between a vinyl carbon fiber wrap or a Alcantara wrap. I'm leaning towards Alcantara but was wondering if anybody had experience with this and how difficult it is to do. Does the trim snap back in place ok even though the Alcantara makes it a bit bulkier? I remember seeing a picture of someones wrapped interior in a build thread that was wrapped with what looked like cloth (it was almost a pink plaid, cant remember exactly) so I think it would be possible.

Just to clarify I don't plan on purchasing genuine Alcantara because its crazy expensive. I will probably be using something from Joann's that is simular or possibly something from Ultrasuede

Carbon Fiber Vinyl

I just used some I ordered from amazon and it came out great. It was my first type working with the CFVW and was really a breeze. I'm trying to convince my friend to do his hood.
