Remember that amps are drawn, so having a higher spec battery shouldn't matter so long as it is charged.
I doubt that the separate keys will fix anything, since it looks like your OBD2 port just isn't responding.

You probably already went through this list, but I'd double check through it again:

I am really hoping to get your car working, its almost bothering me.

Looks like you have a CANBUS issue. Your temperature needle automatically going into the red indicates that there is a communication error between the cluster (IKE) and engine computer (DME). Because you say the dealer tested your DME in another car and it worked, it would indicate that DME is not at fault.

Also take a look at these threads:

How about this:

Hkw about a faulty EWS?

Is it possible that the EWS resetted and not giving the right codes to the DME..
Or the EWS cutting the fuelline.
Or EWS not reconizing the keys?? Cause of reset? And so it gives faulty / no codes to DME ??

I think them temperature gauge pegging to high may be a clue, but I have not suggestion on what the problem may be.

If the dealer swapped your DME into another car and it worked, did the temp gauge on the test car peg like in yours?

Battery needs to be 12.5v or more to be charged enough to crank the engine. When below this, there is not enough to support all systems with full voltage.

When diagnosing, you should list specifics and not general values.

Start from the top:

Battery fully charged
Fuses all intact
Voltage seen at +B terminal in engine compartment
Voltage seen at +B terminal in E-Box (DME location)
Connections to DME is seated properly.

Go from there.
Engine swaps, HG, GM & ZF tranny rebuilds.

Now im here with my next problem:

Will it be fixed bt updating / flashing the DME with newest software??
