Idle Drop - Turn Steering Wheel/Push Clutch Pedal

I've run into a new problem recently with my M3. When at idle my RPM will drop by about 400rpm whenever I turn the steering wheel (with AC off). It also does this when I disengage the clutch to come to a stop. It gets low enough to cause vibrations in the cabin. Not enough to stall the motor but close enough to be discomforting. The steering feels a bit stiffer than usual. Engine is warmed up.

I had similar symptoms when my fuel pump went out but I also had acceleration issues, too. I'd like to think my 5 month old (Walbro) pump isn't going bad (maybe I need a new filter or regulator?). I will be needing a valve check in another 8k miles. Could it be a valve adjustment issue? Coils and plugs were replaced last May. I don't think I have any new codes but I'll be checking (currently have SES light on for bad cats). My battery was replaced just the other day and the alternator is putting out the correct voltage according to the OBC diagnostics.

I know that idle drop is usual but it never used to drop to this extent. Some say it's normal, others disagree but it does seem to be widespread. None of the other threads I've looked through had any solutions but most of them are years old. I'm hoping someone may have a solution here.

In the meantime, I'll be cleaning the MAF and running some fuel injector cleaner. Maybe that'll help some. If I have time, I'll try cleaning the ICV if I can find a DIY on that. I'll spray some carb cleaner in an attempt to clean the ICV a bit.

That's the plan. I'll let you know what I find. Hopefully, there'll be something helpful.

No new codes. Forgot that the MAF uses torx security screws so that will have to wait. Hopefully, the fuel system cleaner will help. The issue doesn't seem as pronounced today but it's still there.

You've never changed the fuel filter?

No i haven't. But I've only owned the car for 10 months. It's been dealer maintained its whole life. So when they last changed it, I don't know.
