Curious if anyone has used these and has anything to report about the URO Premium? I'd like to replace my driver's side before it fails in the winter (creaky sounding and slow at this point) and am hoping this would be a good option.

AFAIK They only make these for E46 sedans otherwise I would order one for my coupe.

I always go OEM. (And hope they last longer than OE...)

My URO premium is still going strong. 6 months in.

So is the VDO I installed in the passenger side probably 10 months ago.

Knock on wood.

I have replaced all four window regulators on my e46. Three of them I used the OEM BMW window regulators and the last one I decided to be cheap and used the VDO/Siemens regualtor. The replacement BMW window regulator all work fine till this day and the newest one I replaced with the VDO unit failed within a year.

I was going to test the premium one but somehow i got the old non ball bearing one. My replaced oem bmw version instantly died but it was my fault the window was frozen in place and i test if it was free from the defrost by just tapping the down button for like a spilt second. all the suddon i heard a snap and something hit the bottom of the door and the regulator making crunchy noises.

I changed all of mine to Dorman regulators in my car. They are better than the 3 uro junk that died after a week. My Dorman are nice and smooth after I greased them a bit when I installed them

URO= junk! Regardless if its premium or not, the components that brake are still made of plastic.

I'm curious did you realign the window regulator after installation ?

Dorman OE Solutions vs Uro Premium for the right rear? OE failed in a little over 2 years. Dorman available immediately all day everyday at local auto parts.

I installed BMW window regulators around 5 years ago, still working fine. Whatever brand you go with, apply the zip-tie fix before installing them, which is what I did, and may explain the longevity.

Well, I'm on my 2nd OE right rear. Since it isn't too difficult of a job and I don't really want to pay the OE price and have to wait a few days, I picked up the redesigned Dorman regulator. Looks to be a good quality piece. I'll see how long it will last I guess.

I put two Dormans in my drivers door and they both failed, the Uro Premium has been holding up. I do use the Blaster dry lube on it.

Uro is not good. Just bought this, installed it leaking all over the place. I'd slightly wiggle or open the cap and it would leak. From the bottom and The trans cooler new oem, was leaking doesn't fit right.
I cleaned the original oem one, 16 years old and works just fine.
Wasted 40 bucks.
