Hi all:

Is it possible to swap a manual air conditioning unit to an auto one?

Thanks in advance

Yes it's possible, as long as you are willing to take apart the dash

I'll trade you. I hate my auto HVAC. Too slow, too fussy.

There's way more to the auto HVAC than just the switch panel. There's a PDF somewhere showing all the tech, really makes you appreciate the system more. I just set it to 70F full auto and let the system do its thing.

^I know. We've covered it already:

I don't like the auto setting controlling the fan speed and turning on the A/C uncommanded. The perfect HVAC setup for me is 3 big knobs and 2 buttons (A/C and recirc). Done.
