You can use "IDA pro" for the disassembling . But prepare to spend many hours just to get started.

The DME is calculating the MASS of air in the cylinder.

600mg or 500mg is the mass of a full cylinder(100%) for the respective engine.

I have my 2.5L running at 560mg/stk under full throttle which is 112% of cylinder capacity(cams, CAI, exhaust etc).

For a boosted engine, only the things above the 600mg(100% filling) need to be tuned(if the engine is stock internally).

Many people are forgetting that the DME is using air mass. If you could weigh the air in a full(100%) 3.0L cylinder charge, it would weigh 600mg at standard temperature and pressure.

The most common mass for air is 1.2Kg for 1m3. 20Deg C and sea level pressure. If you can find and understand an air properties psychometric chart, you will see it does not vary much with temperature from 1.2kg.
Many thanks for this detailed explanation! Thanks a lot!
I'll try to do it on my engine

No other files are required. Go to post 2932 on page 147 for explanation.

Yes, I've done a full 056/EWS delete flash on my old 03 530i using JMGarageFlasher and Galletto. Everything I tried worked just the same as on the E46. When I read the DME's VIN from INPA, it did not match the car's VIN, suggesting that the EWS delete was successful.

The DME is chassis-independent. Getting to the DME in the ECU box to ground the proper pin is more of a hassle in the E39, though, as the box is hard to get into without breaking the lid because of the clip that's in the back.

Im sure it would be simpler czigzoli to just flash the 056 LC file from Daniel.

I finally got JMgarageflasher to connect with the ECU in the car. Then when I clicked read, it starts reading until 9% and then says "Error while read flash. Wrong echo answer."

I'n using a white board FTDI cable from amazon with the cable on com port 1 and latency set to 1, I've read the the VAG-com clone cable works better?
Any suggestions?

SETTING LATENCY TO 10 worked! JMgarageflasher worked perfect, wrote the 512kb file in 4 minutes. Launch Control sounds sick with my headers!
Thanks so much Daniel!

Just curious, is there a way to make it bounce faster perhaps like the one in this video

The next version gets rid off it. You can lower c_n_max_hys_max to 32, it does help, too.

My c_n_max_hys_max is under the EngineSpeed folder not launch control and is set to 320rpm, so just change that to 32?

I know its probably been covered, but could someone tell me how to change the vin and date made in the modified EWS delete 512kb from Daniel's file to match my car?

Or could someone do it for me?
