dont replace it, do either a muffler or resonator delete, that will give you the sound youre looking for. possibly even the golf tee mod

yeah essentially you would just cut the muffler off and replace it with straight pipes, if thats too annoying for you, try just one of the resonators, that will give you a little more flow, possibly a tad more power

I have an AC Schnitzer muffler for sale. They were $1,200 brand new, but I'll cut you a deal.

This was my 2001 330Ci. It had headers, one resonator removed, and the ACS Muffler. Headers are what really gave it some volume.

Video is loud because the camera was mounted near the exhaust tip.

Yeaa headers are awesome.... mufflers are not worth it because they make sound low and high rpm at all times, but headers only makes incredible sound when you press the pedal...

Stock exhaust with golf tee mod, and headers. A simple muffler delete will drone too much.

Also, your 325/330 E46's have 1 FRONT muffler, 1 axle resonator, and 1 REAR muffler, in that order.
Theres no such thing as 2 resonators....

Re: Best muffler for 330ci

I'm running a custom catback. All new pipes from the cats back. Where the 1st resonator was I put an x crossover pipe and straight pipes to a flowmaster super 40 in the place of the oem muffler with dual stainless tips welded on. Its loud and deep as hell but no drone. Its a "sleeper" as some of my friends call it. At idle or cruising its got a nice tone but when the throttle opens up, its a head turner. I have a video on instagram. Not great quality but gets the point across.
