05 325I Bluetooth pairing question

Hi,
Ok, I have Bluetooth in my 05 325I sedan. I have recently gotten a new phone but now my bmw won't show when I scan for devices. it is the basic model of bluetooth, not idrive. does anyone know where to get the manual for that specific model? is my phone just not compatable? I unpaired my last phone, but got me nowhere.

What kind of new phone do you have? Have you turned Bluetooth on on the new phone? Are you sure your device is visible? (Most new devices are invisibly with Bluetooth turned on, you have to make them visible manually.)

It's the lg optimus f7. And yes, I made it visible. It wouldn't even show for my boyfriend's droid.
