Question Led Lighting HELP!

Hey all,

I have a 2004 330ci sport (6 speed manual) and bought some led light bars that are smoked over. I have black grills and was going to mount the lights inside the kidneys to give it a stealthy hidden look when the car is off. They will be set up as DRL. I do not want to hook them up with the standard running lights or fogs because I don't like the amber lights on unless the HIDs are on.

Here is the trouble: The lights have just a positive and negative wire and take 12v. (which is great) but I want them to fade in and out with the key fob just like the interior lights. If I hook them to the interior lights wont they go off after the car is started or a short period of time? How do I get them to fade on and stay on while the car is on and fade off upon locking the car. I purchased some fuse taps hoping I could attach to the glovebox flashlight. (I heard it dims on and off and stays on while driving)

Other thought was to take the wires, and make a Y out of them. Hook one to interior lights and another to the radio or some other acc option. This way they fade in, then turn over car and they stay on, and turn off car (makes them stay on because interior lights come on and then lock the car (fade out). My concern was if the interior lights and radio are on at the same time it would push 24v to the lights. Possibly putting a 12v regulator in between would solve this but not sure. I know each light can take 12v on its own.

This is where relays come in. You want triggers wired to the interior light and acc.

You can always make the wiring yourself, but lots of vendors here sell angel eyes wiring harness which will work exactly how you want.
