Question on tinting your windows in NJ

I just bought my e46 last Friday (330xi, 2003). I looked at NJ laws and the only limits are on the front windows - NOT LEGALLY ALLOWED, AT ALL in NJ... Does any one here have tints on their front windows in NJ? if so, how much of a hassle is it?...

There are no limits in the back windows and rear so you can black those out if you want... but I kind of think it would suck with zero tints on the front windows...

I don't think having the front two windows not tinted would look too bad. SUVs are made like this, provided they are a higher trim with factory tint

Call Tropic Tint in Union. They'll know what you can do. There is a UV, clear tint that keeps the heat down, I know.

Anyway, I have seen there work for many years. It's impeccable...and they're reasonably priced for how good they are. Not the cheapest, but close!

Tell them I sent you.

Thanks guys. @wasp you had a bad experience at Tropic? Or are you saying not to do the UV clear?

No I would never black them out. Just want a protective tint. Nothing more. I will get the most visibility that effectively blocks heat and UV rays.

is this 'no tint on the front windows' law enforced in NJ? ive seen cars with Jersey tags with very dark tint. of course i dont know if theyre getting pulled over or not.
