How about a sticky for Donor disassembly FAQ?

How about a (moderated) sticky topic for donor car disassembly FAQ ?

Growing the class depends 100% on new cars being built, so how about using the group's collective wisdom to save new builders time and trouble ???

My first submission would be:

Remove the front seats and side windows before disconnecting the battery. You will need to be able to operate them (electrically) to position the mounting bolts for access.

I will write that down. I am starting a build in Charleston, SC and I am fresh on the scene. Have always raced bikes and this is my first attempt at cars. I have had many different sport cars and I have looked at many categories but for some reason I have kept coming back to the spec E46 class. So I am going to start as soon as I decide to sale my current car and get another or swap the transmission, it is automatic. What do you think? Any input welcome?

But I do agree with your post, the easier that this process can be laid out, the more cars you will have and if it really is a spec class of racing there will not be many secrets. But as I have found in the past, there are always secrets!
