Weird coolant issapearing issue

So after noticing a substantial coolant leak in my 330ci, I did the sensible thing and replaced the expansion tank, as the car has 110k miles and it hadn't been replaced yet. After a week, however, my coolant light turned on for about 20 seconds. After checking and seeing that the expansion tank was below the min reading I went back to my garage. Weirdly, however, after I opened the bleed screw, the tank filled with coolant. After driving for another day, this happened again. What is this issue and how can I fix it. I scoured google and couldn't find the answer. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have air in the system. Read Mango's sticky on cooling systems. Don't replace cooling system parts piecemeal! Just replace the all the parts at once and be done with it!
