2006 330CI Convertible Bluetooth mic and Mediabridge or Grom

I am picking up my 2006 330CI Convertible today, and read that most of these cars had Bluetooth. Am I correct that the below is the mic?

If so, if I move to one of the more modern solutions so I can stream music from my Android phone (likley Audiovox Dice MediaBridge or Grom) can I use the factory mic and that location.

Also, I have noticed a couple of vendors are using fitment for the e46 as ending 2005, is that just an oversight to the coupe and convertible, or is there really a difference I need to know about?

Anything else I need to be thinking about when deciding on what unit to use? Most threads are talking about iPhone/iPod connectivity, are either better/worse at android connectivity and streaming.

Adding other pics below to help verify the system I have

My Ride: 2006 325ci vert
I bought a 06 vert last summer and the mic on the OEM Bluetooth was not functional. I could make calls, hear who I called, but they could not hear me. I looked into replacing the mic and cable, but decided to go aftermarket. So, I bought a Mediabridge. The Mediabridge connects to the unused CD changer connection in the trunk. I ran the Mediabridge mic cable through the ski pass thru, under the seat and carpet, and routed it to the steering column, where I mounted next to the factory mic.

It is likely that the factory mic cable connects to the Bluetooth unit mounted behind the rear seat back. However, finding it and splicing it into an aftermarket Bluetooth system would be much more effort than what I did.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, mine works fine, so After talking to the Grom people, I am going with a Grom Android for media, but leaving the phone functions alone. I just need to install it, and I will report back
