You may want to check this Youtube video on the correct install/removal on these front E-46 fender liners (with the brake cooling ducts).....they essentially mount in three places....to the bottom of the front bumper, to the lower side covers by the engine, and along the front top portion of the inside fender liner. Secure it in all these places as per factory. Do it once-do it right.

Thanks a TON for this. I did watch part 1 previously get to my bumper trim off but did not see this. When I bought my car, they were both installed incorrectly. I had them in the from of the other piece, thinking that the indent was where the piece would lay. Seems like it was lucky I lasted a year without issues
