328i 1999 Touring E46 Diff question

Hey everyone! i have tried searching all over the world wide web without succes

as the title state i want to replace my old diff with a higher gear, i'm driving with the stock 2.93 want to upgrade to 3.23.

both the 323Ci M52 runs with 3.23
and 316 M43 runs with 3.23.

what i know for sure is the 323 M52 diff case fits my subframe and internal parts my original case.

what i cant figure out is wherever or not the 316 m43 diff mount straight in my subframe or if possible i can change internal gearset.

can anyone help please?

i have attached pictures of both diffs.

I'm sorry I don't know that answer as the US didn't get the smaller engines.

4cyl uses the 168k gear sets so no, it won't work on your 188k diff.

In 188k gearsets I think your options are e46 325i auto (3.46:1) or manual (3.15:1) differentials.
