E46 Tune removal

hey guys I've been a member here for a while but haven't really been active... I have a question? So I had a vf supercharger on my e46 330i and I decided to go back to N/A but I made the mistake of selling the supercharger kit and the flash loader without removing the tune from my car (I know stupid move). I have a shark injector and I know shark injector has a way to remove its file but I'm not sure if it will remove the VF file so can I get the tune removed with the shark injector or is there any other way to remove it?

Have you tried restoring the factory DME firmware with WinKFP? I assume the DME hardware has not been modified.

Yes. It replaces both the code and data in the DME back to factory. What have others in the same situation done?

I'd suggest trying to remove your shark tune with the injector before restoring the DME. If you don't and you go ahead and restore the DME, the shark tune will likely be gone for good (when you install a shark tune, the injector itself no longer has the tuned software on it).

Perfect. I may have misread, I thought you had the shark on there and then added the VF somehow. Good luck!

If you successfully updated with WinKFP, then you saw two phases of programming. The first one was the code and the second one was the data. Yes, the tune is long gone now.

Make sure you clear DME adaptations.

Thank you very much this helped me out alot! Turns out the hesitation was due to a bad maf sensor. I also ended up finding the thread that explains how to use tunerpro, i made my own custom tune now so i know for sure the file is gone and the car is running great. But really thanks for all the help!
