SAVA Eskimo+ Mud&Snow off-road tires 225/55/16". Butt ugly, but the only thing that will get you trough Eastern European winter. A far cry from my 225/40 and 255/35/18" summer Michelins.

Because of my stretch or just in general? Thats fine car will be sold way sooner than that. I got them done at kal tire and some kid put one tire wrong direction so i had to go back and just wasted time. And dont start me on how bad they fukd up the rim..!

Just how the tires are made, The tires themselves are good as far as traction goes but they just crack really easily, Kid must have been paying attention most of those Nokian's are "Inside outside tires" One side of the tire just has to face inside the car, ANd if Kal fucked your rim up tell them and they will fix it for free

Not changing a thing this winter... hopefully next year I'll be able to afford a new set of winter wheels/tires.

I replace my summer lovely 135s with cheapie Plasti-Dipped rims wearing Dunlop SP Wintersport M2s: 205-50-17. When does everybody change their wheels? I'm thinking Thanksgiving.

I change wheels the night before a significant snow is forecasted. Good snow tires are too mushy. Performance snow tires suck in deep snow.

Do you get that annoying whistling from the snowboard rack driving over 40mph?
If so how do you deal with it?

Don't have pictures right now, I'll try to post later. Nokian Hakkapeliitta 7's...225/45/17. They are really useful for Alaskan winters.

love the rims. My winter rims are butt-ugly but get the job done.

my 18" m5 replicas are too heavy and too large for me to put adequately big and gummy winters on them. We get so much snow over here, I need tall wide tires to get around.

I hate to rub it in, but my winter setup and my summer setup are the same, except for the position of the heater/AC controls.
