Question RPM problem when engine cold

Hi all!

I have BMW e46 328i 1999y.
In cold weather. When I start engine, I get problem with RPM. ().
RPM is jumping from 400 to 1200.
Sometimes go to 0 ;( and after start again get a 1200.

When engine overcomes 80, engine work normal 700RPM

Can you get a some right path to find solve this problem please._a_

Vacuum leak somewhere? Are you throwing codes? MAF cleaning? ICV?

Worn Vanos seals can cause that, mine does the same thing, I'll be replacing those before next winter.

My 1999 328i used to do that, then it got so bad that it would stall out. I replaced intake manifold gasket, disa gasket, throttle body gasket, valve cover gasket, VANOS seals, entire CCV system, and MAF. It idles 100% better than it ever has in my ownership (because it always dipped on cold start, needed VANOS seals from day 1)
