What am I getting into?
I'm currently out of town but before I left I discovered I had a bubble in the side wall of my front right passenger side tire and also a nail, they had to order my replacement tire so it's not yet on the car but when driving it pulls to the right
The steering still feels tight and she drives fine, I'm just wondering if the tire is the blame or if I'm in need of a new tie rod. Control arms look fine but I haven't had a chance to really check them out. Before I get back and start replacing parts I just wanted some suggestions on what you guys think it is. I've heard of tire bubbles and nails causing rough or bumpy steering but could it cause the steering to pull? Thanks for your advise |

the defective tire probably doesn't have anything to do with the pulling. might have alignment/mount problems. if you can swing it, i highly suggest replacing the suspension.

Lower tire pressure in the tire with the nail would cause it to pull to that side.
But, am I reading this write...you're out of town in the car you drove with a bubble and a nail? I'll just mention this too... the bubble may have come from the same incident that maybe didn't something else to your car. Like me, right now...I blew a strut. That wheel isn't as firmly on the ground now, and it pulls, just slightly to that side. Check things out...check temps of rotors after running on highway a bit...pull over without using brakes and if one is hotter than the others, you've got an issue with brakes...caliper hanging up somehow. Pulling can be from alignment issues...again which could be caused from the same impact that gave you a bubble. Could be a blown control arm bushing. Could be a number of reasons. Read threads with 'pulling' in the title...bet you'll find other things to consider too.

Bad ball joints exacerbate tire anomalies.
